Jules-Émile SAINTIN (1829-1894) Young Woman with Blue Dress and Bouquet, 1869. Drawing heightened with gouache. 23.5 x 17 cm on view. Framed, signed and dated lower left. Note: Jules-Émile Saintin studied with Achille Jean-Baptiste Leboucher (1793-1871), then with Michel Martin Drolling and François-Édouard Picot at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, which he entered on September 22. He exhibited pencil portraits at the Salon des artistes français in 1850 and 1853.
