A very fine and rare Rolex Datejust Bark with attractive blue Buckley dial The Rolex reference 16078 is a rare variant in the Datejust line with a 18K yellow gold case that features a “bark” finish on both the bezel and bracelet center links. This unique and rare blue Buckley dial has created an attractive blue/purple patina, with still the original tritium on the lumeplots and the hands! The case is strong, possibly lightly polished. Inside the watch is the automatic calibre 3035 made by Rolex, the watch is keeping time well and has an amplitude of 300° and +3 seconds a day. The mouvement has serial number 0321508 and the case 6.1 million serial number, indicating production in 1979. It has a sapphire crystal with cyclops, which is original for the reference. The watch has sharp gold hallmarks with 18K and measures 36mm in diameter. The comfortable bracelet has little to no stretch to it, with a size of 21cm (full link).
