Verner PANTON (1926-1998) VP Globe" suspension lamp, model created in 1969, Globe in methacrylate. x 40 cm diameter. Chrome-plated metal reflectors, blue and red lacquered, Verpan Edition. Note: Verner Panton initially trained as an architectural engineer in Odense. He then studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. During the first two years of his career, 1950-1952, he collaborated with Arne Jacobsen, another famous Danish architect and designer, notably on the famous Ant chair.
