Abangwa BABUCWE dit béret [(drc), 1968] - Lot 150
Abangwa BABUCWE dit béret [(drc), 1968] Gorilla. Acrylic on canvas. 157 x 191 cm. Framed in American box, signed lower right and dated 2017. Béret manages to illuminate the animals that inhabit this primordial world, this lost paradise, amidst the intricate abundance of an exuberant flora. The richness of his painting, a true anthem to nature, has often led to comparisons with Henri Rousseau.
