Enki Bilal is a French-Serbian artist born in Belgrade in 1951, known for his exceptional talent in comics, illustration and film. He has established himself as a major figure in graphic science fiction with such landmark works as the Nikopol Trilogy (La Foire aux Immortels, La Femme Piège, Froid Équateur). His style, blending dystopia, politics and introspection, is distinguished by an often dark palette and profound themes.
