Imperial Guard mounted hunter's or lancer's saberImperial Guard mounted hunter's or lancer's saber, model 1811. Curved steel blade, 84 cm, marked with two crossed swords and the letters H.A.B. Brass quillon guard also marked H.A.B.. H.A.B. is sometimes found for Hörster, A. & Cie, Solingen (Germany), a highly reputed blade manufacturer active from the end of the XVIIIᵉ century. Some foreign blades were imported and then assembled in France. Brass and black leather scabbard with two rings. Total length: 105 cm. Good condition, with traces of wear.
