Paintings under glass (called "Suwer" in Wolof) - also known as "fixés" - are an art form specific to Senegal. Note: This Ngaye Mekhé native is one of the most talented coaster painters of his generation, a true virtuoso and innovative genius who revolutionized coaster painting from the 1990s onwards and has made a major contribution to Senegalese art.
