Town / Mourning sword, Belgium (Brussels), late 18th century, "deuil" sword, triangular chased steel blade decorated with plants, a trumpet and a sickle, traces of gilding, marked on one side and on the other, blade length 62cm, multi-branched hilt topped by an iron disk, faceted iron grip and pommel decorated with a garland of brass flowers inlaid with turquoise pearls (one missing), total length 99cm, poor condition (pitting and bumping on the blade, without scabbard).
