Elio MARTINELLI (1921-2004) - Lot 10
Elio MARTINELLI (1921-2004) Design table lamp, model 629, marked under the base. 43 cm. Note: Direct-lighting table lamp consisting of two molded resin bodies. Its steel base is connected to the upper part by a central joint allowing 360° rotation. The internal reflector is in white-painted aluminum. The Cobra lamp was designed in 1968 by Elio Martinelli. It was one of the first resin lamps produced using a special molding system. The lamp has a simple line and a geometric shape inscribed in a sphere. Thanks to the rotation of the arm, the reflector recalls the shape of a cobra ready to pounce.
