French saber model 1882 (officer), straight double-grooved blade, most probably made in Châtellerault bearing the control marks LD (Louis Delcros) and GC (Gaston Couillaud), which places its manufacture between approx. 1885 and 1905. Bare wood handle, checkered - simpler version, very common for junior officers, artillery, or certain late and economical manufactures, average condition (oxidation). 107 cm
