Note: A major figure in Swedish glass art and design, Erik Höglund (1932-1998) embodies the spirit of innovation and creative freedom of the XXᵉ century. Trained at Sweden's National School of Arts, Crafts and Design, he started out as a sculptor and painter before making his mark at Boda - now Kosta Boda - where his name became inseparable from modern Swedish glass. Driven by tireless creativity, Höglund shakes up the codes of "good taste" with his rustic forms and daring techniques, offering a singular vision of design inspired by traditional craftsmanship.
