BELGIUM, 19th century, infantry officer’s saber, blade with a chiseled steel back and marked “For the King and the Fatherland,” three-pronged guard and gilded bronze pommel, decorated with flowers and laurel leaves, wooden handle covered with brass filigree, iron scabbard, in good overall condition (wear, slight oxidation), blade length approximately 86 cm, total length approximately 103 cm.
