EUROPE, 18th century, set of 2 halberds/spontons; the first is a double-headed halberd with a crescent-shaped axe-like head, topped by a straight spike; the wooden shaft is covered with red velvet, in poor overall condition (heavily oxidized), total length approximately 2m32; the second is a spontoon with a triangular, spear-point-shaped blade; the shaft is also made of wood covered with green velvet, in poor overall condition (heavily oxidized), total length approximately 2.24 m.
