Exceptional Masonic sword in chiselled steel, gilt bronze and its wooden scabbard sheathed in leather with cap and bouterolle in pomponne (gilt copper), 109,5 cm. The inscriptions "Primus Conventus 21 martii 5788" [First Convent 21 March 1788], "Antonius Josephus Comes A Ponte Leon Fundator" [Antonius Josephus Comes A Ponte Leon Fundator]. Founder], "Foedus Latomorum in orienti ad rotam auream Moguntiae" [The Brotherhood of Stonemasons (Freemasons) East of Mainz with the Golden Wheel] are chiselled, engraved and gilded on the blade and guard in the form of Corinthian pillars. The square, the trowel and the compass are found on the pommel and the cap. A golden wheel (symbol of the city of Mainz) with three companion's hands on it adorns the blade and the scabbard.
