Franklin Mbungu WABONGA, (Kinshasa, 1972. Lives and works in - Lot 222
Franklin Mbungu WABONGA, (Kinshasa, 1972. Lives and works in Kinshasa, DRC) Bolingo n'a ngai (Mon amour"). Collage mixtes, papier sur châssis entoilé. 95 x 95 cm. On joint le certificat. Note : His work is far removed from traditional Congolese folk paintings. He cuts, assembles, folds and superimposes layers of paper to glue them together. He also adds coloured threads, ribbons and wrapping paper, creating almost three-dimensional art pieces.
